Getting started is easy! Send us a message through our contact form or give us a call at 519-271-4633 to request a FREE site survey. This will allow us to assess if your location will get a good connection to the service. Once the site survey has been completed you will be contacted and advised of the results. If there is a good signal you can proceed with installation and will be contacted by Rhyzome’s Installation Technician who will work with you to find the best time to come and install your antenna.

The small wireless antenna is typically installed on the outside of your home and connects via an Ethernet cable to your WiFi modem/router inside the home. Where the antenna is placed on the outside of your home is determined at the time of the site survey. Rhyzome support technicians pin point the spot that will give you the best connection to an access point.

Although some users connect directly to the network with their laptop, tablet or other device, the antenna’s in these devices are not capable of achieving the strongest and most reliable connection to the wireless equipment. Rhyzome employs Ubiquiti Nanostation’s in order to ensure that you get the best signal possible. When our technician performs the site survey they also asses which of the antennas we use will provide the strongest connection and fastest speeds specifically for your location.

An antenna is also helpful if you would like to connect more than one device to your internet connection. When using an antenna to access the wireless network the authorization to access the internet will be given to your antenna. The antenna can then be hooked into a wireless router so that multiple devices can be connected and access the internet.

Rhyzome Networks will not provide support for customers who do not purchase a wireless antenna. If you choose to connect your devices (laptop, PC, tablet, etc.) to our network directly, you may experience degraded service and slow/unstable connection speeds. Our network is not designed for direct access to wireless devices.

We currently have 2 brands of antenna’s that are used:

 

 

At this time we do not supply  router’s to our customers or provide support for router’s. Those wishing to connect to the network will be responsible for providing a router at the time of installation. Routers can be sourced from a number of local retailers and their knowledgeable staff can aid you in choosing the router that best meets the needs of your home or business.

There are two ways that you can chose from in order to pay for your internet service.

  • Purchase a pre-paid code at the front desk of 187 Erie Street, Stratford ON.
    Please note only cash payments are accepted.
  • Pay using a credit, debit, or Visa/ Mastercard debit through our online portal.
